Setting S3 Cache Headers With Octopress

Octopress Deploy now allows you to specify cache timeout headers for S3 based on regular expression pattern matching. This is really helpful when you want to minify css & javascript, version the file names, and then allow client browsers to cache for a long time. It drastically improves frontend performance when the only thing browsers need to load on repeat visits is your HTML. I’ve been using this plugin for the last month or so since I originally got the development done, and it’s a great convenience over having to manually manage headers after each upload in the S3 UI. Give it a try with the absolutely-excellent jekyll-assets module and kick your site speeds into shape!
